Activities
Games Drives
Guests have the option of driving into the Park in their own vehicle or can join one of the game drives offered by Miombo Lodge in comfortable open sided, 4x4 vehicles, equipped with radio and accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable local guide. The early morning game drive and afternoon drives take you into famous Hwange National Park. The late afternoons especially are prime time to sit around the main waterholes in the Park and enjoy seeing many herds of elephant as they come to drink.
The dry season (May - September) offers the best viewing time with excellent opportunities to see lion, elephant and any of the +100 species of mammal which make Hwange National Park their home.
Night Game Drives
On night game drives we take you around the Miombo concession which is in the vicinity of the lodge where you can experience the wild nocturnal activity. Guests can expect to see nocturnal game such as hyena, jackal, porcupine, civet, genet, white tail mongoose, and occasionally leopard and lion.
