Location

Miombo Lodge is situated on the eastern border of Hwange National Park, the largest Park in Zimbabwe occupying more than 4,500 square kilometers in the north west corner of the country.  The area enjoys the highest concentration of wildlife in Zimbabwe and is famed for its large herds of elephant that reach enormous densities in the dry winter months.

How to get there

By Road
300kms from Bulawayo and 180kms from Victoria Falls on good tar roads.

10 mins on good tar road from Hwange Main Camp and the Hwange Airport.

By Air
An easy two hour transfer from Victoria Falls makes Miombo an ideal option to combine a safari in Hwange with a visit to the Victoria Falls World Heritage Site.

We can arrange private road transfer from the airport to the lodge.

Directions to Miombo Lodge

After driving ±290km from Bulawayo, turn left when you see the sign for Hwange Safari Lodge and Main Camp.

Drive for ±17km past Hwange Safari Lodge and turn right when you see the sign for Dete.

After driving ±10km along this road, you’ll drive over a cattle grid. Miombo is directly after this on the left. It has a terracotta entrance.
